On Dirk’s Dinner Plate Long Table Lunch

Join us on Saturday 10th August 2019 for our Gourmet Island Escape. Enjoy incredible local produce with Shark Bay prawns, scallops, snow crabs, whiting and pink snapper. Fresh fruit & veg is flown direct from Carnarvon to produce the freshest of taste for the freshest seafood in Australia, creating a true ocean to plate experience. Complementing the regions local produce imported from Margaret River are a selection of bean-to-bar chocolates by Gabriel Chocolate, red & white wines from Moss Wood Wines and a variety of beer supplied by Gage Roads Beers.
Chef George Cooper of Tiller Dining returns this year to prepare our famous Long Table Luncheon “On Dirk’s Dinner Plate”. There won’t be any stale ships biscuits served today however - get ready to have your taste buds amazed! George will be serving a multi course gastric sensation lunch featuring local Shark Bay and Gascoyne produce along with bush tucker and other ingredients foraged right here on the island. Once again your meal will be washed down with your generous ration of Mosswood wines and Gage Road beers. George takes the time to explain every course in detail to the guests as it is served which only adds to the enjoyment of this rustic fine dining experience.
During the lunch – you will get hear from our hosts Kieran and Tory Wardle along with a short presentation from Ed Fenny of Ocean Park who will share some of the incredible European history associate with the island. At the end of the lunch, you can sit back and relax by the campfire and just take in all of the amazing experiences of the last few days whilst having a chat with all of our guests and special hosts. Expect abundant wildlife as you cruise across with Shark Bay Dive & Marine Safaris from Denham.
Your day will start at 10am at Denham jetty, where you’ll board our comfortable boat, Woomerangee. It will take us around 1 hour to reach our destination, Dirk Hartog Island Eco Lodge. Following a day of dégustation with George Cooper we will transfer you back to Denham by 5pm.
